Let’s Learn a New Word (2/8/21)

Wanna learn a new word today? How about palimpsest? According to Merriam-Webster, palimpsest (a noun) is writing material (such as a parchment or tablet) used one or more times after earlier writing has been erased; something having usually diverse layers or aspects apparent beneath the surface.

Over the weekend, I came across this word while reading The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab. She uses lots of interesting vocabulary, and I highly recommend checking out her stuff as she’s probably one of my favorite *newer* authors.
