Wow it’s been a long while since I’ve posted. Aside from the fact that I struggle with self-promotion, the second half of 2022 saw an explosion in my workload, and since the main reason to post is to connect with clients, there wasn’t much reason (or time) to do so.
Another reason was because I’ve always been a bit embarrassed by my “professional” website, so it was hard for me to promote it. Well, that’s now changed. For the first time—ever—I’m actually proud of how my website looks. And it’s all thanks to the amazingly talented Erin Hunt Rado (https://erinradoauthor.com/).
I connected with Erin a little over a year ago when she approached me to proofread her Gray Warrior novel. In 2022 she released her new series, Tales of the Ravensdaughter, for which I was the proofreader. I also helped proof some issues of Erin’s Celtic Nations Magazine.
Throughout all of this, we’ve developed a wonderful working relationship; I’m already excited to work on the next volume of her series in 2023, as well as other projects she’s been cooking up (she’s seriously so busy). It turns out that Erin also does web development. When I mentioned to her that my website needed a revamp, she came up with a template that I’m very happy with, and I’ve since updated all the content to better represent myself.
All this is to say that I’m going to try and promote myself more this year, and with that will hopefully come more regular posts. If you or anyone you know is looking for a proofreader or copyeditor, I’m currently accepting work for 2023.
Happy New Year!
