Today’s blog is super easy.
When deciding which verb to use in a sentence, you should ignore nouns in parentheses. This is because the information within the parentheses is considered extra information. Here are some examples.
Shawnee (and her cousins) has everything under control.
The villain (and her cohorts) is carefully written in the story.
The old tree (as well as its neighboring bushes) still bursts with green every spring.
And here is an example showing how the verb changes when no parentheses are present.
One or more fields are flooded.
That’s all for today. I hope you enjoyed this post and found it informative. Check back soon for another. Thanks for reading!
