A Promise of Power

I’m fortunate enough to work on quite a lot of manuscripts. I’ve been an editor for several years now, so I’m at the point where most of what comes to my desk is pretty good.

But some manuscripts soar to the top.

“A Promise of Power” by Rachel Enriquez is one of those special books, and it releases TODAY.

While technically a fantasy, Rachel’s story is truly about people and very real, relatable struggles that human beings face. A clever magic system connects everything together, and it’s incredibly intricate and well thought out, yet it never wanders into convoluted territory. The same can be said for the characters. This is a whopping 270K words with dozens and dozens of characters, but they’re so strong and well developed that you won’t have any trouble keeping them straight. If you’re anything like me, by the time you’re through with this, you’ll have a hard time picking your favorite of the three female protagonists.

If the above appeals to you, I strongly encourage you to check out “A Promise of Power.” You can read the first chapter online for free on Rachel’s website: https://www.rachelenriquez.com/

You can also purchase the book here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FLKHT4SD?tag=&linkCode=osi&th=1&psc=1&dplnkId=6cba3f8a-0243-47c4-a327-1b6f913471a9

And if you enjoy it (I have no doubt you will), this is just the first book of a planned series.
